Henning Mankells key detective, Kurt Wallander, was always a prime target for television fictionalization. We can be thankful that Mankell’s own production company, Yellow Bird Films, decided to create their own version. And so, the dour characterization by Krister Henrikkson defines the central character beautifully over two series, and another on the way.
