Commissioned by the Silence Lotto team, Yell For Cadel offers some unique insights into the Australian rider’s 2008 assault on the holy grail of cycling. The access is rare, and whether it’s seeing Cadel’s view of the pressure that mounts stage by stage, or the extremely funny interplay between Cadel and his team-mate Robbie McEwan, you’re seeing and hearing a side of cycle racing that’s unique.
The film was clearly made with the belief that Cadel would take the race he ultimately lost to Carlos Sastre, but the result, as one his team leaders says, shows us the “sadness and the beauty of sport”.
Features a series of short extras – tour plane assessments, interview with Evans’ wife, Chiara, time-trial footage.
